The form of the license agreement with the author(s) of the scientific journal of the Russian Academy of Sciences (available for download).
The form of the license agreement with the author(s), posted on the official resources of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is the only one approved by the Russian Academy of Sciences for use.
In accordance with the license agreement, the author grants the Russian Academy of Sciences an exclusive license to use a previously unpublished article in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation.
No fee is charged to authors.
Online submission of manuscripts is carried out through the editorial and publishing system of scientific journals of the Russian Academy of Sciences on the national platform of periodical scientific publications of the Russian Center for Scientific Research (Click to follow).
To use the system, the user must register and log in in accordance with the rules for using the platform.
Rules for Authors
The journal "Агрохимия / Agricultural Chemistry" publishes original theoretical, problem-based, experimental and methodological articles corresponding to the journal's profile, as well as analytical reviews, book reviews and chronicles. The editorial office does not accept previously published works.
The volume of experimental articles should not exceed 25 typewritten pages (including tables and references), review articles – 35 pages. Repeating the same data in tables and figures is not allowed.
Articles should be accompanied by a referral for publication from the institution where the work was performed, and an expert opinion stating that there is no information prohibited for publication. The article should be accompanied by the agreement on the transfer of copyright to the Russian Academy of Sciences. Articles and accompanying documents should be submitted only in electronic form and sent to the editorial office by e-mail. The editorial office email address: agrochem@pran.ru.Text, tables, and figures should be placed in the same file.
The article sent to the editorial office is signed by all authors. At the same time, it is mandatory to indicate the last name, first name, patronymic (if any), postal address, contact phone number, email address of one of the authors with whom the editorial office should correspond.
Text and tables should be printed in Word, Times New Roman, 14 points, line spacing 2. Tables, captions, and drawings are printed on separate sheets at the end of the manuscript. All pages should be numbered.
The beginning of the article is designed according to the model: the name, initials and surnames of the authors, the full name of the institution (or institutions) in which the work was performed, the postal address of each institution with post codes, the country, and the email address. The following is an extended abstract (up to 1 page), as well as keywords. The abstract should include the purpose of the work, the methodology of the study, and the main results. In addition, all these data must be submitted in English at the end of the manuscript on a separate page.
It is advisable to make drawings in PDF format, which provides clarity of all details and editing capabilities.
The article is presented in the following order: introduction, research methodology, results and discussion, conclusion, references. These subheadings should be indicated in the text of the article.
The title of the article should be informative and include keywords.
The abstract should contain the main information about the article: the essence of experiments, results and their interpretation.
In the introduction, authors should logically justify the conduct of the study, show the relevance and novelty, and answer the following questions: what is known in this field, what remains unknown, what is the purpose of this publication.
The methodology. The research methodology should contain information on: where, when, and on what soil (substrate) the experiments were conducted; agrochemical characteristics and other soil characteristics indicating the methods of determination; plant growing conditions; analytical methods and instruments and reagents used (indicating the company in the original language and the producing country). For little-known or new methods, it is necessary to describe them in detail, indicating all the reagents used, and indicate the determination error and sensitivity of the method. Be sure to provide a link to the classification used for naming the soil.
When describing field experiments, fertilizer doses expressed in kg / ha N, P2O5 and K2O are written on the line (N90P60K60); for vegetation experiments, nutrient doses (N, P, K) expressed in mg / kg are written in the lower index (N100P75K100).
When describing experiments with plant cultures, their varieties should be indicated. When mentioning plant species, please indicate their Latin names and classification authors; names of microorganisms and fungi should only be written in Latin. Generic and specific Latin names of plants, fungi, and microorganisms should be printed in italics. For example, Triticum aestivum L., Sinorhizobium meliloti.
At the end of the methodological section, you should indicate the repetition in the experiment, methods of statistical processing. Statistical processing of all quantitative data is required. When using it in the method, you need to specify what plus or minus means in the tables and deviation from the average in the graphs: the standard error of the average or the standard deviation. If several different statistical processing methods are proposed for this task, then you should provide a reference to the specific method used.
Results and their discussion. The presentation of the results should identify patterns following from the tables and figures, and not retell their content.
Quantitative data presented without errors are rounded to 3 significant digits. For example, the value 1044 is rounded to 1040, 1045 to 1050, 1.253 is rounded to 1.25, 1.257 is rounded to 1.26, and so on.
All types of errors (metrological and statistical) should be given with no more than two significant digits (starting with the first nonzero digit on the left). In accordance with this, the values themselves (including the average) are rounded to the same number of decimal places that are contained in their error.
When discussing the results, it is necessary to compare the information obtained with that available in the literature and show what is its novelty.
Conclusion should be specific and follow from the material directly obtained.
When describing the methodology, discussing the results, and making conclusions, use past-tense verbs.
The article should use physical units and designations accepted in the International SI System of Units. When naming various chemical compounds, it is advisable to use IUPAC terminology.
The tables use symbols for chemical elements.
All abbreviations should be decoded, with the exception of a small number of common abbreviations.
Formulas that are referenced in the text should be numbered. Numbered formulas are written starting from the new line, and the formula number is placed in parentheses at the right edge of the page. All references in the text to literary sources should be given in the original language and numbered. Surnames and names in Japanese, Chinese, and other languages that use the non-Latin alphabet should be written in Russian transcription. The reference numbers in the text should follow strictly the order of mention and be enclosed in square brackets.
The list of references is compiled in the order in which works are mentioned in the text of the article. For all bibliographic sources, the names and initials of all authors and the full title of the cited work are given.
